I would like to think that friends would be able to accept each other (particularly at this point in our lives) unconditionally. What irks me about your company is that they do not see fit to compensate you adequately for the amount of stress they are putting you under. Not that a higher salary would alleviate the stress in any way, shape or form. But the standards they are holding you to, should be the same standards they are holding themselves.
